22 May Day Parade Tijuana Workers demonstrate in the streets of Tijuana on May Day, protesting the economic crisis and devaluation of the peso which cut wages in half. At the government's request, the official unions called off their 1995 May Day demonstrations throughout the country. The sign held in the center says "Beware of reforms to Article 123," which is Mexico's basic labor law, and which the government is proposing to weaken. |
