10 Laurel, Mississippi
Laurel, Mississippi is a town where many Mexican immigrants have arrived to work in poultry plants over the last decade. Relations are often tense between new immigrants and African Americans, who also work in the plants. Pictured: Elisa Reyes, a poultry plant worker, and her son Arturo Arredondo, who works in an electrical factory.
