Striker Ramon Gallegos volunteered to be the first striker to go to the company and offer to return to work, a traumatic decision made by strikers who exhausted their economic resources in seven weeks on the picketline. The rest of the strikers lined up and cheered as Gallegos walked down the parking lot toward the company office.
