07 Abraham Mokarram
Rio Hondo, outside Zamboanga, Mindanao
Abraham Mokarram is a village leader in Rio Hondo, a village built on stilts over the ocean outside Zamboanga. Mokarram is a Tausug, a Muslim minority people who were at war with the Philippine government for two decades. His window curtain is made from a banner used during their struggle.
