Protesting Arizona's Racist Law 18 Oakland Protest of SB 1070 Immigrants and community activists in Oakland's Fruitvale district, the city's Latino neighborhood, protest against cooperation between police and immigration agents in arresting people for deportation. The demonstration took place the same day thousands of people marched against the SB1070, the anti-immigrant law passed in Arizona. A Honduran immigrant holds a sign protesting U.S. support for the coup in his country, which says, "No intervention, no immigration," meaning that U.S. intervention on behalf of a dictatorship causes people to flee and immigrate to the U.S. Previous
