39 Dolores Huerta and Arturo Rodriguez Delano UFW founder Dolores Huerta and president Arturo Rodriguez wash the feet of other union founders on Easter in 1994, at the old UFW headquarters. This ceremony honored the union's history and continuity in the wake of the death of Cesar Chavez. Following the ceremony, Huerta, Rodriguez and other UFW members began a month-long march from Delano to Sacramento, retracing the steps of the seminal march made in 1967. |
