30 Children's march
Children head a march against Proposition 187, the California initiative which called for prohibiting education and emergency medical services for immigrants. The march, through Oakland's Fruitvale district, was organized by the janitors' union, SEIU Local 1877, whose members would have been seriously affected by the initiative.
