10 School Protests
Students, teachers and parents protest the decision by the state-appointed Oakland School Trustee Richard Ward,to close seven schools, and reorganize many more as "internal charters", a euphemism for school recostitution and privatization, in which teachers and staff would be forced to reapply for the jobs they presently have.
