06 Postville Immigration Raid
Anacleta Tajtaj, a Guatemalan immigrant, was arrested in an immigration raid at the Agriprocessors meatpacking plant in Postville. The raid was the largest workplace raid in a single worksite in recent history. Tajtaj was released to care for her child, but now has to wear an ankle bracelet to monitor her movements. She cannot work or travel, and has been waiting for weeks for a hearing which would result in her deportation.
