Falih Abood Umara isescorted by the drill team of San Francisco’s longshoremen’s union, ILWU Local 10, as he enters a church in Berkeley, California, to speak with US trade unionists and other supporters about the situationn facing unions in Iraq. Abood Umara was elated to find that many union members in the US oppose the occupation of Iraq. He had assumed that most people supported the Bush administration.
