Just after dawn, in a garage in Fresno, indigenous Mixtec immigrants from the Oaxacan town of San Miguel Cuevas celebrate the saint's day for their town, in front of the altar with the saint, candles and paper flowers. Most San Miguel immigrants in California work as farm workers.
