Indigenous Onion Workers in Arvin

31 Trailer in a Field near Lamont

Gregorio Velasco house trailer is in the middle of a grape field, and the vines come right up to the front door, exposing his family to pesticides and fertilizer used on the grapes. Velasco and his family are Mixtec immigrants from San Juan Mixtepec in Oaxaca, Mexico. Velasco is a farm worker, and has lived in the US since the early 1980s.
