11 Oaxaca Solidarity Demonstration
Jaime Medina, sportswriter for the Oaxacan newspaper Noticias, came to
Matamoros to get support for APPO (Asemblea Popular de los Pueblos de
Oaxaca -- the Popular Assembly of Oaxacan People), which is calling for
the resignation of Oaxaca Governor Ulises Ruiz and demanding that the
Mexican government withdraw federal forces from that state. He spoke at
the annual meeting of the Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras.
