Border Demonstration in Matamoros in Solidarity with Oaxaca

07 Oaxaca Solidarity Demonstration

Supporters of APPO (Asemblea Popular de los Pueblos de Oaxaca -- the Popular Assembly of Oaxacan People) demonstrate at the border crossing in Matamoros between the US and Mexico, calling for the resignation of Oaxaca Governor Ulises Ruiz and demanding that the Mexican government withdraw federal forces from that state. The demonstration was organized by the Coalition for Justice in the Maquiladoras.
