30 Matamoros Industrial Park
The Quimica Fluor plant in Matamoros' main industrial park, where US corporations have large maquiladora factories making goods for the US market. Maquiladora workers and their families live in poverty, in neighborhoods contaminated by toxic chemicals. This plant makes hydrofluoric acid, and the huge mountain of white powder toxic waste is a byproduct of the process. The powder is often dumped in workers' barrios.
