15 Striker
Tijuana, 6/23/2000
A striker at the Han Young factory and member of the independent October 6 union, moments after he and other strikers and supporters were beaten and expelled from a meeting organized by the Mexican government to discuss their right to form independent unions. His banner reads "No more protection contracts" and refers to the sweetheart agreements made between government-affiliated unions and employers, a big reason why workers want to organize independent unions.
