28 Garment workers
Workers from union garment factories in San Francisco took time off from their jobs to listen to two young workers from the Central American sweatshops producing clothing for The Gap. Many of their fellow union members have lost their jobs in the last decade as companies have closed factories, relocating production to Guatemala and Central America.
