Hollister's Triqui Community

16 Triqui Musicians and Dancers

Indigenous Triqui women dance to traditional music from their communities in Oaxaca, at a celebration in the public library. Women wear a traditional huipil, a hand-woven garment. Triquis are one of the many indigenous groups of southern Mexico, and many people have migrated from their hometowns to California to work in the fields as farm workers.
